As we close the chapter on 2024, we reflect with immense gratitude on the milestones we’ve achieved together in a year defined by CHANGE. A New Home for Synaptic
We embraced a major change this year by moving into a larger, more accessible location. This new space reflects growth and progress, enabling us to expand our capacity and provide care to 304 clients in 2024. It’s a tangible step forward in our journey to help redefine what’s possible in neuro rehabilitation.
Growing Together
Change brought growth—our new space allowed us to welcome 5 new team members, expanding to a dedicated group of 16. Together, we provided 12,783 hours of neuro therapy, all while mentoring 1,516 hours of students and volunteers.
Advancing Knowledge Through Research
Guided by a spirit of innovation, we collaborated with our partners—the University of Calgary, Helius, and Neursantys—on three research studies in 2024, significantly enhancing our understanding of neuro rehabilitation and driving meaningful advancements in the field.
Exploring Cutting-Edge Technology
This year, we took steps toward integrating the XoMotion™ exoskeleton into our services—a next-generation innovation designed to improve mobility for individuals with lower extremity motor deficits. By pursuing funding for this new technology, we’re reaffirming our commitment in empowering individuals to navigate their recovery with confidence.
Introducing: Peer Connect Support Group
Change also meant deepening our community ties. This year, we launched Peer Connect, a support group providing a safe space for individuals with neurological conditions, caregivers, and families to share, learn, and grow together.

Broadening Our Scope of Care
We’re proud to have expanded our offerings with new services like vestibular therapy, strengthening our commitment to delivering holistic, personalized care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Looking Ahead
Your influence goes beyond the statistics—it’s the stories of strength and resilience that truly matter. Stories like Rylan’s 100km for 100k, which raised vital funds and inspired others to act. It’s the ongoing progress of the BREATHE Project, ensuring that sustainable care is available to all.
As we step into 2025, we’re thrilled to announce our Capacity Campaign, a transformative initiative aimed at expanding our impact and reach within the community. Through this campaign, we aim to grow our team, enhance and expand our services, explore new technologies and treatment methodologies, participate in more groundbreaking research, and serve more clients in a timely manner. To support these efforts, we’ll be hosting community-focused events (details to come), providing opportunities to connect, collaborate, and inspire action.
